LAPD NEWS RELEASE
The Los Alamos Police Department will be holding its police memorial ceremony next Monday May 16 at 10 a.m., at 2500 Trinity Dr. in the north Justice Center Parking Lot. LAPD has not held this event in two years due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.

This event is open to the Community and will honor fallen law enforcement officers as a part of National Police Week.

LAPD will briefly meet at the our police department at 8:00 a.m. on May 19 with officers and athletes.
This Law Enforcement Torch Run is still tentative due to the Cerro Pelado Fire and may be postponed should safety considerations arise.
National Police Week occurs on the calendar week when May 15 falls. National Police Week was proclaimed by President Kennedy in 1962 to pay recognition to law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of others.
