LOS ALAMOS STEAM LAB NEWS

The Los Alamos STEAM Lab is offering American Sign Language classes from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays in June and July for children and adults. Children under 7 are required to be accompanied by an adult. The cost of the class is $120 for the first household member and $80 for additional classes. Scholarships are available.

This class is for anyone who has an interest in obtaining the foundations of American Sign Language, a respect for and basic understanding of Deaf culture, and introductory signs to begin to communicate in ASL. Participants should plan to practice at home between sessions to solidify their skills. This eight-week class will include: minimal lecture, videos, practice opportunities, activities and games, all in an effort to make this productive and fun!
