BARRANCA PTO NEWS RELEASE
Come one! Come all! After a four year break, the Bobcat Bonanza is back for 2022. Barranca PTO is sponsoring a carnival that the entire community is invited to attend. The fun will take place on Apr. 22 from 4 :30 – 7:00 pm at Barranca Mesa Elementary School (57 Loma Del Escolar). According to PTO President, Bethany Scott, “This is going to be such an exciting event! After two really hard years of COVID restrictions, it will be so great to have an event that is just pure fun for kids.”
The event will feature carnival games, bounce houses, a dunk tank, a tug-of-war competition and dance off. There will be tons of prizes for your little ones and fun for the whole family. Tickets (4 for $1.00) or wristbands (unlimited activities for $25.00) can be purchased in advance on our website www.barrancapto.org or the day of the event. Food vouchers can also be paid for ahead of time.
Hot dogs, chips and a soda will be available to purchase for $10.00 or families can bring their own picnic dinner. We’ll also have cotton candy, popcorn and snow cones for sale ($3.00 each)!
There will also be a silent auction during the Bonanza. We will be auctioning off gift cards for local restaurants, crafts bins, themed baskets, and so much more. Bidding will take place from 4:30-6:30 pm. Winners will be announced at 6:45 pm. Winners must be present to claim their items. Businesses wishing to donate items to the auction can contact barrancamesapto@gmail.com.
Funds raised during the event will go straight back into supporting Barranca teachers and students through classroom grants, field trip stipends, and funds to pay for new playground equipment. All support in this cause is truly appreciated!
