Los Alamos Elks Give Back To Community

ELKS LODGE NEWS RELEASE

Thanks to local fundraising efforts and obtaining grants through the Elks National Foundation the Los Alamos Elks Lodge #2083 was able to award the following gifts to local programs and non-profits for the fiscal year 2021-2022

$500 was given to Los Alamos Public Schools to sponsor the Science Fair;

$1000 was awarded to Big Brothers Big Sisters Mountain Region in support of the Los Alamos/Rio Arriba Chapter;

$1000 was gifted to Los Alamos Golf Junior Program; An additional $500 was given to the Golf Junior program, through the Elks, courtesy of the golf “Steak League”;

$2750 was raised through grants and presented to LA Cares, a local food bank;

$2750 to given to Self-Help, a community support organization.

This project was made possible by a grant from the Elks National Foundation, the charitable arm of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. Through its Community Investments Program, the Elks National Foundation awards grants to local Elks Lodges to help the Elks strengthen their communities. This year, the Elks National Foundation will award $6.5 million in grants to benefit Elks communities.
