SUMMIT GARDEN CLUB NEWS

Learn the steps of how to grow vegetables (specifically tomatoes) in a bale of straw.

Alison Grieggs will be presenting a program on straw bale gardening at the Summit Garden Club meeting at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, April 4. The program is the first item on the agenda.

Advantages of straw baling include:

  1. You don’t have to leanover to care or pick the vegetable

2. You can put it anywhere in your yard

3. Bales retain water
