LA Cares April Distribution Is Apr. 7-8

LA Cares, the local food pantry for Los Alamos County residents, will hold its monthly distribution for April next week.  Distribution is always the second Friday of the month and the Thursday preceding it.  Since April 1 is on a Friday, it makes the LA Cares distribution seem earlier.  It will be Thursday, April 7 from 5:30- p.m. to 7p.m. and Friday, April 8 from 10:30 a.m. to noon at Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church on North Road.

The deadline for registration for the April Distribution is this Sunday, April 3.  Call 505-661-8015 NOW to sign up for a box of canned goods, fresh fruit and vegetables, eggs, butter, cheese and meat, as well as dog and cat food, school snacks for kids, and assorted miscellaneous items.

The Santa Fe Food Depot provides another source of food for local residents.  A truck full of food stops at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church on the fourth Friday of the month at 11:00 a.m. to noon. They give out pre-packaged bags of food.  There is no pre-registration for this service.
