LARSO NEWS RELEASE
The Los Alamos Retired and Senior Organization (LARSO), invites the community to some fun at the centers, over the next few weeks.
This week, both the Betty Ehart Senior Center and the White Rock Senior Center are selling raffle tickets for $1.00. The raffle ticket will offer you a chance, to pie a staff member in the face on Pi Day, March 14th at 3:14 pm., in the main parking lot of each center. Winners will be drawn on Friday, to notify the winners, in case they must appoint a proxy.
Manga March is the theme for the month. Those adults 60 and over, new to the center, who complete paperwork, will be given a coupon for a FREE lunch. The activity is sponsored by the Los Alamos Friends of the Senior Center, to encourage those 60 and over to join. The coupon is valid for 30 days and can be used for in-person or drive thru lunch.
Stock the Pantry, is another food related event. The goal is to stock the pantry, in each center, with healthy items for seniors. The Finishing Touch has donated a beautiful cabinet for each center. The goa is to stock it with shelf stable milk, cereal, oatmeal, low sodium soups and low or no sugar fruits. Healthy snacks are welcome too.
