Obituary: Bridget A. Flynn Dec. 29. 1969 – Feb. 1, 2022

On February 1, 2022, Bridget A. Flynn of Berlin, MD., passed. Bridget was born in Los Alamos, NM and moved with her family to Columbia, MD in 1979. Following graduation from Hammond High School, she enlisted in the US Navy. She served on the USS Puget Sound during the Gulf War. Bridget was known for her brilliant sparkling blue eyes, her beautiful smile, and her infectious spirit.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Dr. Paul and Virginia Flynn, and Irvin and Dorothy Hoppe. She is survived by her cherished daughters, Kara and Kamdyn Finney, her beloved parents, Joseph P. and Barbara E. (Hoppe) Flynn, her loving sisters, Barbara and Elizabeth Flynn, her loving aunts Pauline Flynn, Leontia Flynn (Tom) Roberts, Isabel Flynn (Joe) Sigwarth, Virginia Flynn (Jesse) Reeves, Nancy Hoppe Hill and Debra Hoppe Moon, and not to be forgotten, her loyal Golden Doodle, Chesapeake.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 p.m., Friday Mar. 11 at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church (Wilde Lake Interfaith Center), 10431 Twin Rivers Road, Columbia, MD 21044. Interment with Military Honors, following the funeral mass, will be in Baltimore National Cemetery, 5501 Frederick Rd., Catonsville, MD 21228.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Bridget from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday, Mar. 27 from at the Cured/18th & 21st Restaurant, 10980 Grantchester Way #110, Columbia, MD 21044. All are welcome to drop in and share memories of Bridget.
