Chair
Los Alamos County Transportation Board
Road Work on 33rd/34th Streets & Arkansas will be discussed at March 3 Transportation Board meeting. There will also be utility improvements, which usually complicates scheduling due to the more complex coordination required.
Residents on Walnut, Villa and a small section of 41st between Alabama and Arkansas may also be interested because they intersect near the work.
Construction is expected to begin in mid-June and run until the end of November. Anyone can attend the meeting, but comments will also be accepted through March 21 via phone at (505) 662-8150 or email at lacpw@lacnm.us .
After that comes a discussion of the Integrated Community Services Master Plan covering, among other things, the BMX track renovation, lights at Brewer Arena, a conceptual plan for a long flow trail, two NICA loops, multimodal trail from North Mesa to Downtown, and a Mountain Bike skills park. Also listed are golf course and tennis issues, plus the proposed shared space gyms on North Mesa and in White Rock. It’s a full plate.
There will be some special emphasis on the Mountain Bike Skills Park.
Finally, the board acquired another member, Michael Altherr, and is now at full strength for the first time in years!
As is usual these days, the meeting will be held via zoom. Please use this link to join the webinar: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/86972090894
