AARP FOUNDATION NEWS RELEASE

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide is providing free income tax preparation in Los Alamos again this year.  We will be located at Century Bank (751 Trinity Dr.) where they have generously donated space for our service.  Our hours are 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Mondays and Thursdays.  We primarily serve low- or moderate-income taxpayers and senior citizens but there are no age or income limits.  We can do most returns but may not be able to do your return if it does not fall within our technical scope. 

Like last year, we will not do in-person services and two visits will be required.  At your first visit we will interview you and scan your documents and save them on the secure servers where our tax preparation software is located.  Over the next two days our volunteers will complete your return using the scanned documents. During your second visit we will review your return with you and give you a printed copy.  Your return will then be filed electronically.
