The Foundation categorizes proposals into two distinct funding groups: Education Outreach and Community Outreach. Education Outreach proposals provide services which directly support public education programs and educators for grades K–12 during in- and out-of-school time. Community Outreach Grants support learners of all ages by funding community-based programs that help families and individuals thrive, learn, and fully engage within their community.

Eligible applicants include school districts, nonprofit educational institutions, IRS-qualified 501(c)3 organizations, government agencies serving Los Alamos, Mora, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, Sandoval, Santa Fe, and Taos counties and the 18 Pueblos and tribal communities serving their communities across Northern New Mexico.

With all Outreach Grants, LANL Foundation supports programs, projects, or organizations working in one or more strategic focus areas:

● Community Capacity Building

● College, Career & Community Pathways

● Growing and Supporting Teachers & Educational Leaders

● Social Emotional & Neurosequential Learning
