PEEC NEWS RELEASE

Los Alamos Resiliency, Energy, and Sustainability (LARES) Task Force, will give an overview of what Climate Change is, why it is happening, and help define some terms during a free virtual program from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6.

There will be some interactive elements for the Zoom audience to enjoy. We will give attendees tips (and hand-outs) on how to reduce their waste and their greenhouse gas emissions. Energy-efficient upgrades for homes and properties will also be discussed. Members of the LARES Task Force will share some recommendations on greenhouse gas reduction from the final report they are presenting to the County Council. Audience participation and questions are encouraged. A produce basket from the Farmer’s Market will be a door prize for one lucky participant!

This program was originally going to be offered in a hybrid format but has been changed to Zoom only.
