County: Expect Traffic Controls Tuesday On San Ildefonso Road

COUNTY NEWS RELEASE

The eastbound lane on a portion of San Ildefonso Road will be closed on Tuesday beginning at 9 a.m. and ending by 3 p.m. The closure of the 100-foot-long segment, beginning at Camino Uva and heading east, is for asphalt patching.

A flagging operation by crews from the Los Alamos County Traffic and Streets Division will direct all eastbound traffic, including bicyclists, to the westbound lane. Motorists and bicyclists going in both directions are urged to slow down and obey all traffic safety devices and flagging personnel.

The Department of Public Utilities coordinated with the Traffic and Streets Division to repair damage to roads resulting from emergency utility line work. Once repairs are complete on this stretch of San Ildefonso, the mobile patching operation will resume patch work throughout the County for as long as weather permits.
