December 11, 2021 the Los Alamos County 4-H clubs held their yearly award night, which honored all members are their achievements for the year. This past year our 4-H club has one of our most productive and success year on record. We truly want to congratulate all our Members for their commitment to “Making the Best Better” .

Derek Rodriguez was awarded the State Bronze Level Letterman Pin and Patch, for his Leadership, Citizenship, and Achievement in the Baking I, Baking II, and Uniquely NM projects for the past 2 years.

Kimberly Prada was awarded the county Top Leadership Award for her role in various state workshop presentations and her work on the planning committee for the Dolphin Tank project as a State Healthy Living Ambassador, and her role as club President for 2021.

Samual Prada was awarded the County Top Citizenship Award for community service making and donating toys to the animal shelter, holiday cards for nursing homes, shoveling snow, and help with various church projects throughout the year.

Chloe Blackburn was awarded the County New Member Award for demonstrating enthusiasm at club meetings and fairs, participation in fundraisers and community service, and achievement in the Poultry, Sewing I, and Leathercraft projects, including completion of the record book during her first year.

We also awarded buckles to our Top Outstanding Member per age group, these members went above and beyond for our club and our community. . The areas of achievement include contest participation, project completion, leadership activities, and community service. In order to be considered for these awards members must turn in a completed record book, documenting these activities.
