With Christmas and New Year’s Eve quickly approaching, Los Alamos County staff at the Eco Station remind the Los Alamos community of changes to the trash and recycle services.

Christmas Holiday Service Change

The County observes the Christmas holiday on Friday, Dec. 24. There will be no trash collection service provided on Friday, Dec. 24.  For Los Alamos residents or commercial customers whose normal trash day falls on this date, county staff advise that materials be placed out on the curb on Wednesday, Dec. 22.  

On Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, the Eco Station and Overlook Convenience Center will be open from 8 a.m. to noon , and closed on Saturday, Dec. 25 in observance of the Christmas holiday.

New Year’s Holiday Service Change

The County observes the New Year’s holiday on Friday, Dec. 31. There will be no trash collection service provided on Friday, Dec. 31. For Los Alamos residents or commercial customers whose normal trash day falls on this date, county staff advise that materials be placed out on the curb Wednesday, Dec. 29.
