Los Alamos Family Council CountUP! To 60th Anniversary – Week 2

LOS ALAMOS FAMILY COUNCIL NEWS RELEASE

Los Alamos Family Council runs two major programs: the Counseling Center and the Youth Activity Centers.

The Counseling Center, LAFC’s longest running program, offers behavioral and mental health counseling to those seeking help. Counseling is available to individuals of all ages, couples, and families. Group therapy is also available. Payment for services is primarily through client insurance plans, but generous donations and granting from our donors, sponsors, and funders assist in ensuring that all clients can receive services regardless of their ability to pay.

The Youth Activity Centers are an after-school program LAFC operates. This program, serving youth in grades 3rd through 8th who live in or attend school in Los Alamos County, has two facilities: one in Los Alamos and one in White Rock. Funding for this program comes from an operating contract from Los Alamos County.
