Ernest and Melanie Bennett, owners of Bennett’s Fine Jewelry & Gifts at 107 Central Park Square in Los Alamos have announced their plans to closed the business after 14 years of operation.

“It was a very tough decision for us to make. We love Los Alamos and all of our clients. 2020 was a hard year on all small businesses. It was especially hard on our small business without any financial help from the government.” Melanie Bennett told the Los Alamos Reporter Monday morning.

She said 2021 had been more positive them, but they think a change in pace and lifestyle will be beneficial to them.

“We will really miss all of our clients and friends. But, every time has a season and it is time for us to start a new chapter in our life,” Melanie Bennett said.

Bennett’s will begin a huge sale at noon, Thursday, Nov. 11 which will included absolutely everything on the premises, down to the bare walls, including furniture, fixtures and equipment. The entire stock of fine jewelry will be liquidated including wedding rings, diamond jewelry, colored gemstone jewelry, diamond earrings, giftware, and all ladies and mans watches.

10 a.m. – 7 p.m. Friday
