COUNTY NEWS RELEASE
Los Alamos County Council and the Community Development Department staff will host a Virtual Town Hall Monday, Nov. 8 at 5:30pm to hear from the public regarding the proposed Cannabis Retail Ordinance. This ordinance has been recommended for approval by the Planning and Zoning Commission. The County Council and County staff are seeking public input before this recommended ordinance is considered by the County Council.
The Town Hall will include background information, an overview of the Cannabis Regulation Act adopted by the State of New Mexico, the limits the State has imposed on local governments under this Act, and most importantly, an opportunity for the community to ask questions and comment on the proposed ordinance. The public can request a copy of the proposed ordinance via email at planning@lacnm.us.
