The Rotary Club of Los Alamos will be packing 40,000 meals for families in need in Northern New Mexico. Three groups of 50 volunteers are needed to package food on Saturday, Oct. 30. Although there has already been a great response, more help is needed, particularly on the two later shifts.

There are three shifts:

8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
*11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
*2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

This is a great opportunity to volunteer in the community and you can even sleep in if Saturday is your day off. Think about getting a couple of friends or colleagues or even your sports team to join you as you make a difference. Last year, 40,036 servings of rice and beans with seasoning packets were packed during the Rotary event. The bags were distributed by The Food Depot in Santa Fe.

The event takes place at Crossroads Bible Church, 97 East Road, Los Alamos.
