COUNTY NEWS RELEASE

Starting October 26, 2021, County Council will return to a Zoom-only format in response to the rising number of COVID-19 positive cases within Los Alamos County. The meetings will continue to start at 6:00 p.m. with public comment available via Zoom as well. The published agenda for each meeting will include the necessary link for the public to watch and participate. 

“We have a responsibility to the public and staff to provide a safe environment for Council meetings,” Council Chair Ryti states, “The increase in numbers, combined with the strain on area hospitals is enough for us to exercise caution and move back to remote meetings for now.” 

Los Alamos County Boards and Commissions will follow suit by transitioning back to a Zoom-only format also. Each meeting agenda will include the Zoom information needed for the public to watch and participate.
