Los Alamos Choral Society
Los Alamos Choral Society is excited to announce that we are starting our 2021-22 Fall Semester on October 19, 2021. We will again be singing on Tuesday evenings from 7 to 9 pm in the Los Alamos United Church sanctuary, 2525 Canyon Rd. We are pleased to have Mary Badarak as director and Cindy Little as accompanist. We will perform the beautiful Faure Requiem in our upcoming winter concert.
At the first rehearsal (10/19), arrive between 6:30 and 7 pm for registration followed by rehearsal. We will be following NM DOH guidelines and United Church policy to make our rehearsals safe and protect the health of all singers. Vaccinations are required for all participants. Singers will wear masks while in the church building. The Choral Society Board has ordered black singer masks for all singers but have been informed by the manufacturer that the shipment is delayed. Until the shipment arrives, please bring your own mask.
Choral Society has a long history of singing in Los Alamos. We celebrated our 75th anniversary with a concert in February 2019, just before the pandemic put an abrupt end to public gatherings. We are anxious to resume our singing tradition and would love to have you join us in song. Singing makes the heart glad and fills the soul!!
