Lola The Pony Visits Aspen Elementary School Friday With Boy Scout Mountain Patrol 22

Lola, the pony, accompanied by Lisa Reader, joined members of Boy Scout Mounted Patrol 22 Friday at Aspen Elementary School to the delight of Amanda Padilla’s first grade class. Scouts, from left, Theodore Zobay, Jude Moleres, Isaac Hovey and Xander Wilson showed the students how to brush Lola, feed her carrot sticks and pet her. Photo by Maire O’Neill/

Lola’s gentle disposition makes her the perfect pony to visit with first graders. Of course, having a hay bag to distract her also helps. Photo by Maire O’Neill/
