CITIZENS’ CLIMATE LOBBY NEWS RELEASE

On Saturday, Sept. 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the New Mexico chapter of Citizens’ Climate Lobby and Elli Sparks will lead a hands-on workshop about engaging in climate advocacy using the five levers of political will: lobbying Congress, media relations, grassroots outreach, grasstops engagement, and group development and organizing. Through these five levers, Citizens’ Climate Lobby empowers all citizens to drive Congress to implement climate solutions.

The workshop will help attendees find ways to put their talents and interests to work in pursuit of lasting solutions to address climate change. Furthermore, the workshop will build advocacy skills applicable to any other issue.

This workshop is free. Registration is required (link). Los Alamosans who want to learn more are welcome to reach out to Sara (mason.saraann@gmail.com) with any questions.
