Hill Stompers Announce Pub Crawl And 21st Birthday Party Saturday

HILL STOMPERS NEWS RELEASE

The Hill Stompers, Los Alamos’s unique, wacky, festive, quirky adult marching band, turns 21 years old this fall! To celebrate, they are doing a pub crawl through downtown Los Alamos on Saturday, Sept. 18. The fun begins at 4pm at Pajarito Brewpub and Grill. The band will then travel to Smith’s at 5pm, Boese Bros. Brewpub at 6pm, and Bathtub Row Brewing Co-op at 7pm. Enjoy great music, drink a craft beer, and party with the Hill Stompers. All venues are family-friendly!

Jeff and Kandice Favorite started the Hill Stompers in the fall of 2000 as a spin-off of the Seed & Feed Marching Abominable of Atlanta, Georgia. The Hill Stompers’s first public performance was the Holiday Lights Parade in December 2000. Since then, the band has played parades and events all over northern New Mexico as well as Durango and Telluride, Colorado, and Boston, Massachusetts.

This year will be the fourth occurrence of the Los Alamos pub crawl. The Hill Stompers band is well known for taking music to where the people are, and if you happen to be at any of the venues on Saturday, you will be in for a wild musical treat. Follow the band as they play and dance in the street. Because of COVID, the band will play outside only.

The Hill Stompers is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose purpose is to educate the public about marching band music.
