Editor,
Erin may be a new member of our Mountain Lion family with a daughter in first grade at Mountain this year, but she has been active in the Mountain community for much longer! As an involved Mountain parent, I am asking for community support to ensure that we elect a School Board Representative who represents who we truly are as a community.
Our Mountain Lion Pledge states “When we Learn, Improve, Observe, and Nurture, we Succeed!” Erin Green is the embodiment of this creed. She models that commitment to Learn as she continues her graduate studies in Counseling. She actively seeks to Improve our community as a member of the Racial Equity & Inclusivity Task Force. She Nurtures the girls in our community as a volunteer Girl Scout Leader. As a school board member, she will help all Los Alamos children Succeed.
Throughout the years that I have known Erin, I have seen her consistently work to make our community a stronger, safer, and more caring place to be. After listening to her speak in her first few school board meetings, I am confident that she will continue to be a strong voice for our children.
The following Mountain and District 5 families and I are proud to endorse Erin E. Green for School Board. Join us and vote for Erin Green on Tuesday November 2nd.

Dawn Jalbert – I am happy to endorse Erin Green for the District 5 seat (Mountain) for Los Alamos School Board. Erin’s depth of understanding of the current and upcoming issues facing LAPS were apparent during the debate for naming a replacement for the seat after I resigned. It is obvious that she listens to the evidence presented and carefully forms her opinions to represent her constituents in the most responsible, ethical and responsive way possible. Schools worldwide are wrestling with some truly unprecedented issues. I think Erin is the best candidate to make careful decisions on behalf of the students, staff and community served by LAPS.
