Los Alamos Sportsmen’s Club Open Range Day Slated For Sept. 26

LASC NEWS RELEASE

For both Los Alamos Sportsmen’s Club members and non-members, it’s time for the 2021 edition of Open Range Day. With outdoor activities somewhat relaxed, the various club activities (pistol, rifle, shotgun, and archery) will again be showcased.

While the club enjoys a strong membership (over 1100 members last year), there are many non-members and in addition, new gun owners out there who can come down on Sunday to shoot and to try out our many ranges or try their hand at archery.  At least one vendor, Armament USA will be coming up from Albuquerque with machine guns, suppressed weapons, and vintage weapons which may be shot for a fee.

Whether you are a longtime club member and just want to come out for the festivities (and perhaps volunteer!), a non-member who is curious about firearms, or one of those folks who purchased a firearm for the first time during the pandemic, this is an ideal time to come to the range, observe, trade ideas, gain some knowledge, or just have fun.  All ranges will have knowledgeable personnel onsite directing activities.

The festivities will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets to attend will be sold onsite for $10 per person, 14 years or older.  Members showing a badge may enjoy free admission.
