Sara Ann Mason and Josephine Darling of Citizens Climate Lobby will be the speakers for the Aug. 23 Voices of Los Alamos which will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. via Zoom. The Zoom link will be provided on the VOLA Facebook pahe the day before the event.

Citizens Climate Lobby (https://citizensclimatelobby.org/) empowers everyday people to work with their community and their members of Congress on climate change solutions. Our supporters cover the political spectrum and work in more than 450 local chapters. Together, we’re building support for a national bipartisan solution to climate change. This presentation will cover: (1) carbon pricing and the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act, (2) how to get involved with the NM CCL chapter, and (3) an upcoming workshop on the five levers of political will that CCL members engage in to bring about political change: lobbying Congress, media relations, grassroots outreach, grasstops engagement, and group developing and organizing.

Josephine Darling is a former elementary school librarian whose advocacy for children brought her to climate work. She has been with Citizens’ Climate Lobby for 6 years and is the CCL liaison to Sen. Martin Heinrich and the state media coordinator.

Sara Ann Mason is originally from Texas and moved to Los Alamos in 2017. She joined CCL earlier this year to get involved in constructive ways to address climate change.
