The ever-changing CommuniTREE displays a country-western “boots, badges and bandanas” theme celebrating the annual County Fair & Rodeo coming up Aug. 13-15. The theme for the Fair is “On the Road Again” and information on events that span the three-day celebration can be downloaded in the Fair booklet available on the Parks, Recreation and Open Space “Programs and Events” webpage:
CommuniTREE was created during the COVID-19 pandemic to help lift employee spirits; it is sponsored by County employees who volunteer to decorate the tree each month with a different theme. The month of August was sponsored by the Communications & Public Relations Office. CommuniTREE is located at the southern end of the first floor of the Los Alamos County Municipal Building and visitors are welcome to stop by and see the tree.
