
Wilson White is headed to Cherry Hill, New Jersey to represent the state of New Mexico July 31 to Aug. 3 in the 11th Annual Duane Barber National Chess Tournament of Middle School State Champions. He won the New Mexico State Championship this year for middle school. White began playing chess at the age of 6 and just recently won a game against a Candidate Master. He is going into 9th grade in the fall and is excited to join the LAHS chess team. His parents are Jennifer and David White. Courtesy photo
