Los Alamos High School 2021 graduate Tyler Weiss signed his National Letter of Intent to run track for Adams State University Tuesday surrounded by family, friends, coaches, school administration and staff members.  Weiss will study either business or kinesiology at the college which is in Alamosa. Colo.

Weiss has participated and letter in varsity baseball, football, hockey, track and golf, lettering multiple times in football, hockey and track. He has been team captain in football, track and golf, and was Academic All District  every time he lettered. He earned a place on 2nd Team All District Football in his junior year. Weiss was also on the LAHS 2018-2019 State Hockey Team.

Among the awards he has received in track are:

  • 2019 State Champion in 400m relay and 1600m medley relay; runner up in 800m relay
  • 2021 Team State Champion; individual runner up in 200m open, 400m relay, 800m relay
  • LAHS All-Time Top 10 Record Holder: #2 in 1600m medley relay:  #6 in 800m relay, #7 in open 200m,  #7 in 800m relay and #9 in 400m relay

Weiss is the son of Doug and Holly Weiss.
