Los Alamos Visiting Nurse Service will offer a one-hour presentation on hospice services available in the community at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 19 at the Betty Ehart Senior Center in Los Alamos.
The presentation will be given by Sherry Destromp and James Hogue and will include a question and answer period. The event is being coordinated by LAVNS executive director Wendi Wolfe, RN, LNCC. Seniors, caregivers and loved ones are invited to attend to learn about the “Comfort Care” program.
“Those in attendance will hear about our services and what we offer. The information can be shared with others in the community. We will have handouts and brochures and there will also be information on how to become a hospice volunteer,” Wolfe said.
For those unable to attend, call the center, (505) 662-8920, and request to pick up the material distributed at the event at a later time.
LAVNS is a not-for-profit hospice and home health service that has been in the community since 1973.
