Update:USGS Reports Earthquake At 9:33 A.M. Near Capulin

UPDATE 10:10 a.m.

USGS is now reporting a 4.2 magnitude earthquake at 9:33 a.m. near Capulin at a depth of 15.6 km.

9:55 a.m.

Reports of an earthquake being felt at around 9:35 a.m. in Los Alamos County and as far away as Abiquiu and Santa Fe are being received by the Los Alamos Reporter. The Reporter has reached out to Los Alamos National Laboratory for any information they can provide.

The U.S. Geological Survey National Earthquake Information Center is reporting a 3.0 earthquake 5 km north of Capulin at 7:44 a.m. at a depth of 4 km, but nothing about a later event.

Los Alamos Police Department indicates that no damage has been reported as of 9:55 a.m.
