
There are still spots open for this Saturday’s guided wilderness hike into Bandelier National Monument’s wilderness with Ranger Mark. Learn about the principles of Leave No Trace, history of wilderness in the U.S. and how to be safe while recreating in a wilderness all while enjoying challenging terrain, sweeping mesa tops, lush canyons, isolated archeological sites and so much more in Bandelier. Hikes range from 2 to 16 miles and participants must wear sturdy boots or hiking shoes and be in physically fit condition to handle strenuous hikes with elevation gains and uneven footing. Bring a pack including: 2-6 Liters of water depending on the hike, snacks/bars (maybe even lunch), a rain jacket, sunscreen, hat, and any necessary medications, epi-pens, or inhalers.
