LOS ALAMOS STEAM LAB NEWS
Alamos STEAM Lab will begin offering after school options in a new downtown location this fall. Initially, after school care will be limited to registered students. As vaccinations become available for younger children the space will open up to drop-ins as well.
Students will be able to
* build in a dedicated Lego building area
* program robots and micro:bits
* draw, craft, and create
* learn about electricity with snap circuits and breadboards
* design 3D prints in tinkercad
* Sew their own creations
Additionally, Wednesdays will include field trips to playgrounds, sumo battles with robots, science experiments, and generally go where the students lead.
Scholarships are available for all STEAM Lab programs.
