Los Alamos County Councilors, County Parks staff and several young friends participate in Monday morning’s ribbon cutting at newly-installed playground equipment at Rover Park in White Rock. Council Chair Randall Ryti said the previous playground equipment which was installed in 2001 was greatly in need of an update. In August, the County sought the input of the community as to what kind of new structures residents of all ages would like to see. Some 725 responses were received, Ryti said, and the result is the new equipment for kids from 6 months to 12 years of age. He thanked the Parks crew for their work on the project.
