Auditions Slated For July 26 For Missoula Children’s Theatre Production Of Johnny Appleseed


Registration is now open at  for this year’s Missoula Children’s Theater in Los Alamos.

Auditions will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, July 26 at Crossroads Bible Church for the Missoula Children’s Theatre production of Johnny Appleseed. Those auditioning should arrive at 9:30 a.m. and plan to stay for the full two hours. Some cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition.

Among the roles to be cast are Johnny Appleseed; the Kiddoes, the Pioneers; Sir Peter Prescott and his sidekick Rupert; the Fife & Drum Soldiers; Lewis & Clark;  group of Western Animals; and the Apple Seeds. Students, grades 1st-12th, are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary. Assistant directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.

The Missoula Children’s Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup.  MCT tour actor/directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day.

Johnny Appleseed will be presented at 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 31 at Crossroads Bible Church.

Registration is $45 for one child, and $40 for each subsequent child. Members of the Los Alamos Arts Council receive a discount; $40 for one child, $35 for each subsequent child.  Masks will be required at this event.
