The final working draft versions of the Downtown Master Plans for Los Alamos and White Rock that have been months in the making are slated to be presented to Los Alamos County Council Tuesday evening for Council input.

The County’s consultant Dekker/Perich/Sabatini (D/P/S) presentation will include discussion of issues such as parking, density, mobility/connectivity and building height. Members of the community who have not taken the opportunity to attend public meetings on the master plans over the last few months may want to look at the project website to see the extent of the proposals being discussed before Council as some of the proposals will completely change the downtown areas if implemented.

After receiving input from County Council on the plans, D/P/S will finalize the plans. Community Development Department staff will then introduce the plans to the Planning & Zoning Commission to obtain their recommendation to County Council for adoption of the two master plans as a Comprehensive Plan Amendment.
