ProjectY Cowork Celebrates 5th Anniversary In Los Alamos June 17 With Public Event

PROJECTY COWORK NEWS

This month, projectY cowork Los Alamos is celebrating being in business for five years and will host a special community anniversary event to commemorate the occasion on Thurs., June 17 from 4-6pm. The event will be open to the public, and the first 50 attendees will receive a $10 food voucher along with coupons to Bathtub Row Brewing Co-op and Boese Bros Brewpub, both located within walking distance from the coworking space. Live music will be provided by a small ensemble from the Los Alamos Big Band, Bathtub Row Brewing will be serving locally brewed beer for sale, and tours of the space will be given to any newcomers.

In addition to the public celebration party, projectY cowork is offering promotions for the month of June, including 50% of your first month of membership when you commit to 5 months; 10-day punchcard for only $50; and $5 off a drop-in day pass.

projectY cowork opened June 2016 as a flexible workspace for startups, new entrepreneurs, remote workers, trailing partners of Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) staff and postdocs, foreign nationals and students to come together to work solo – but not alone. Since then, thanks to generous initial founders including the Feynman Center for Innovation at LANL, Los Alamos County, the Regional Development Corporation and local property owner Philip Kunsbger, projectY cowork has since served as an entrepreneurial hub and workspace and hosted hundreds of local and regional events — everything from Los Alamos Entrepreneurs’ Network meetups, to patent workshops and small business marketing sessions, to individual business roundtable discussions, networking groups and more.

The coworking space boasts monthly membership plans, a 10-day punchcard, and drop-in pass options for access to its amenities, which includes 24/7 access to the space, high-speed internet and air-conditioned environment. Members, as well as the public, can rent out the space for special events, reserve the 10-person conference room and also utilize the new soundproof phone booth for private calls and meetings. Those who simply want a brick-and-mortar mailing address outside of their home office can also utilize projectY cowork.

projectY is also hosting several other upcoming events and initiatives, including monthly Newcomer Mixer events sponsored by Zia Credit Union, as well as free monthly coworking pop-up days. It also recently announced a partnership with Del Norte Credit Union to launch a financial literacy website for those interested in starting a business; debuted a business and event marketing package of equipment rentals to assist local entrepreneurs and small businesses with their promotions; and will be hosting the in-person return of the Los Alamos Chamber Business Breakfasts on June 15.
