Matching grants of up to $1,000 are awarded on a rolling basis
Los Alamos MainStreet has announced it still has funding available through this fiscal year for its Small Projects Grants. The program awards up to $1,000 in matching marketing grants to organizations hosting an activity or event that brings people downtown, and thus helps promote and encourage local dining and shopping.
Grant recipients can either be hosting an activity in the downtown district of Los Alamos or White Rock, or make a compelling case for why their event will promote downtown businesses to event attendees. Applicants can also use the funds for special purchases to better market their business to residents and locals, including outdoor seating options.
Those interested in applying for this fiscal year should have an identified activity or event that takes place before June 30, 2021, otherwise they may apply for the 2021-2022 year. Grants are selected by committee and awarded on a rolling basis. For more details and to apply, visit www.LosAlamosMainStreet.com/grants.
Some of the previous grant recipients have included: PAC 8, Jemez Mountain Trail Runs, Family Strengths Network, Los Alamos Historical Society, Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC), Los Alamos Arts Council, Los Alamos Retired & Seniors Organization (LARSO), Los Alamos Farmer’s Market, Reel Deal Theater and others.
