
Barbara Skaggs is known for the beautiful irises she grows in her Nambe garden. Last year, the weather didn’t cooperate and the irises didn’t thrive, but this year, her daughter, Kathy Brooks says the blooms are ‘spot on’. Skaggs has lived in Nambe since 1974. Most of her irises come from Nambe Iris Farm which is owned by Candie Borduin. Some of them have great names like Strike It Rich and Spaghetti Serenghetti. Photo by Kathy Brooks
