County Opens Aquatic Center From 1-6 P.M. For Elk Ridge Residents

The Elk Ridge Mobile Home Park is provided water by the Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities through a master meter.  Water infrastructure that distributes the water to each mobile home is owned and maintained by the property owner, YES Communities.  We understand that that the management of Elk Ridge has been working to repair some water line leaks within the Elk Ridge community.  Water has been shut off to the mobile home park at the request of the YES Communities management team to allow these repairs to be completed. Our DPU water division crew has been providing assistance, even loaning parts needed for repairs.  We will continue to help where we can and hope that water will be restored as soon as possible.

The County has also agreed to open the Larry Walkup Aquatic Center today, Monday, May 31 from 1 pm – 6 pm to allow individuals to take showers and fill up water containers at no charge.  Individuals are advised to bring towels, soap, shampoo and any other personal items as necessary.
