Los Alamos County Library System To Expand Hours And Services June 1

Beginning Tuesday, June 1, Mesa Public Library (MPL) and White Rock Branch Library (WRBL) will open for in-person walk-in services Monday through Saturday. Study Rooms will also be available for use starting June 1st on a first-come, first-serve basis, except for Study Room H at MPL. Patrons must check-in with staff prior to using the rooms. The library meeting rooms will remain unavailable until further notice.

Curbside services will continue on Mondays 2pm – 6pm at White Rock Branch Library, and Mondays and Wednesdays 2pm – 6pm at Mesa Public Library.

Public access computers are available on a first-come first-served basis, reservations are not necessary. Children under the age of six must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver. There is not a time limit for patron visits to the libraries and the libraries will operate at 75% occupancy rates. Library staff asks patrons to please continue to observe social distancing while visiting the library and advises that masks are no longer required for fully vaccinated individuals.

Starting June 1, new library hours are:

  • Monday – Thursday: 10am – 8pm
  • Friday: 10am – 6pm
  • Saturday: 10am – 5pm
  • Sunday: Closed.
