More than 30 people gathered on Sunday afternoon at East Park for Los Alamos Democrats’ Picnic at the Park event. Attendees heard from members of the County’s new Racial Justice and Inclusivity Task Force. Task Force members Erin Green, Ashley Naughton, and David Holtkamp spoke on the importance of concrete action to address inequity in our community, including listening without judgment to the experiences of marginalized communities and allocating resources to programs that directly support underserved populations. 

Los Alamos Dem volunteers Brandi Engeman, Alissa Grissom, Erin Green, Lindsey Bargelt and Megan Green organized the event. The next DPLAC event is a Taco Tuesday low-dollar fundraiser at Bathtub Row on June 22. Visit losalamosdemocrats.org for more details.
