PEEC NEWS
In honor of Endangered Species Day, the Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) is throwing a Pollinator Party, and YOU are invited! Join PEEC on Saturday, May 22 at the Los Alamos Nature Center from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. for this family-friendly celebration of our local pollinators.
Participants will make their very own pollinator wings, plant seeds for bees and butterflies, search for local pollinators on a scavenger hunt, and more! This event is an in-person, family program that will take place outdoors at the nature center. Parents and guardians are required to stay with their children for this event.
To keep the group size small and allow for social distancing, registration is required and space is limited to 30 people, who will spread out outdoors. Admission is $10 per family. Register today for this fun event by visiting peecnature.org/events.
For more information about this and other PEEC programs, visit www.peecnature.org, email publicity@peecnature.org or call (505) 662-0460.
PEEC was founded in 2000 to serve the community of Los Alamos. It offers people of all ages a way to enrich their lives by strengthening their connections to our canyons, mesas, mountains and skies. PEEC operates the Los Alamos Nature Center at 2600 Canyon Road, holds regular programs and events and hosts a number of interest groups from birding to hiking to butterfly watching. The Los Alamos Nature Center is currently closed due to COVID-19, but there are many ways to learn about nature and interact with PEEC online. PEEC activities are open to everyone; however, members receive exclusive benefits such as discounts on programs and merchandise. Annual memberships start at $35.
