Los Alamos High School graduating senior Malik L. Abouda will pursue a pre-med program at the University of New Mexico, on his way to becoming a cardiologist. He has always been fascinated by the heart. He is passionate about sports and played basketball for LAHS all four years and is now enjoying a season of track and field. Travel is one of his favorite things, and he’s grateful for the chance to experience cultures around the world. As the child of an immigrant, he loves the perspective and compassion for others that traveling gives him. Malik went to Chamisa Elementary School in White Rock and Los Alamos Middle School before attending LAHS. He is the son of Tana Beverwyk-Abouda and Dr. Kamel Abouda, and the big brother of Elias Abouda. We are so proud of him! Courtesy photo
