Coro de Cámara Online Auction Bidding Extended To Friday For Mother’s Day

CORO DE CAMARA NEWS

Performing arts groups have struggled financially this year without the ability to sell tickets at live performances and to host in-person fundraisers, and the local Coro de Cámara chamber chorus is no exception. So this week, the Coro singers are hosting an online auction to help them sing on into the future. Bidding has been extended to 6pm on Friday, May 7–just in time for Mother’s Day gift-giving.

Generous auction donors have provided something for everyone. The list of items offered include an original painting, framed photograph by award-winning artist, handwoven grass baskets, one-of-a-kind jewelry, and a hand-knit shawl. There are also piano lessons, personalized yoga and fitness sessions, life coaching, lessons in pysanky egg dying, personal serenades, gift cards, and even home-grown tomato plants.

Besides the auction, Coro de Cámara’s latest online concert Dancing into May: Celebrating Life, Love, and New Birth is available for viewing at any time. The concert is free of charge and features spring-themed madrigal songs, solo piano, and poetry. Read more about the concert program in the Los Alamos Reporter.

Coro invites the community to view their joyful spring concert at any time and to check out the online auction before bidding ends on Friday. Both the Dancing into May concert and auction may be accessed from Coro’s website corodecamara-nm.org.
