The Los Alamos Reporter did something different Saturday afternoon. She visited the New Mexico Lowriders Arte and Culture event at Santa Fe Place Mall. Inside the mall is a lowrider exhibit featuring multiple vehicles and a lowrider-related art show as well as other exhibits showing the skills involved in decorating a lowrider. The event continues through June 30. Dozens of vehicles including classic cars, European cars, motorcycles and lowriders were lined up in the parking lot Saturday afternoon for a car show. The intricate engraving on this 1964 Chevy Impala owned by William Romero was done by Emmanuel Trujillo. Photo by Maire O’Neill/losalamosreporter.com
