Non-County Projects:

The following road construction updates are posted below in the interest of keeping residents informed, but are being managed or conducted by others. Please obey all traffic devices and slow down in work zones. Please direct questions or concerns to the project contact listed below:

NM502 Roundabout (State DOT, Star Paving)

Traffic Alert! Work on and Near DP Rd at Trinity– Beginning Monday, May 3rd, Star Paving will be conducting work at the intersection of Trinity Drive and DP Rd. This work will entail construction of a valley gutter across DP Rd, and it will require the east and west bound lanes to be closed one at a time to allow the concrete to cure. Star Paving anticipates this work will require two days to complete. Nearby, a separate project for Bethel’s new development requires work will occur on DP Rd just east of the Trail Crossing to install the final storm drainage manhole. Traffic control crews will coordinate between the two work zones to keep traffic entering and exiting DP Rd moving, but motorists may expect delays when the two projects overlap on Monday and Tuesday.

Lane shift coming soon: In approximately two weeks, traffic east of the roundabout will be once again shifted from the north side back to the south side of NM 502 as crews begin the final stages of the project on the north side. The traveling public is advised to exercise caution while traveling through this area.

Canyon Road remains closed at First Street and the intersect of W. Manhattan Loop and Canyon Road. Access to the affected residence will be accommodated accordingly. This closure is necessary to complete the new alignments of Canyon Road and Manhattan Loop.

Arroyo Lane is required to access NM 502 on the north side with east and west bound traffic. A STOP sign is in place at that junction with NM 502. Those motorists are encouraged to pay attention to the traffic control signage.

Motorists are reminded the posted speed limit through the project is 25 MPH.
