LOS ALAMOS CREATIVE DISTRICT NEWS
Los Alamos Creative District and the Art In Public Places Board discuss public art and the work the board does to acquire, install, and maintain the County’s public art collection.
This is a free event via Zoom, click here to register in advance.
Join us at 5:30 p.m. Monday, April 26 via Zoom as we speak with the Chair of the Art In Public Places Board, Father Theophan, and the County staff liaison to the Board, Katherine Hudspeth. We will learn about the board, how they choose the art to recommend for council to purchase, and decide where to put it. The presentation will include official county photos of many of the pieces in the art collections (there are currently more than 250 items in the collections) and will be followed by some time for Q&A as always.
The county is also looking for an additional member to join the Art In Public Places board. If you would like to apply for this volunteer position, click here: https://www.losalamosnm.us/government/boards___commissions
