The Sunday Five Wind Quintet Presents An Online Brown Bag Concert Wednesday

The Sunday Five Wind Quintet is excited to present an online brown bag concert for the Los Alamos Arts Council at noon Wednesday. Formed during the pandemic by Gabriela Meriweather on flute, Kwami Barnett on clarinet, Pablo Hernandez on oboe, Dan Nebel on horn, and Kyle Sneden is based in Northern Colorado; this is their official debut performance.  Hornist Dan Nebel was born and raised in Los Alamos, and he is thrilled to share music with his hometown community again. The concert will feature an arrangement of Leonard Bernstein’s Candide Overture by our bassoonist Kyle Sneden, Three Short Pieces by Jacques Ibert, Three Shanties by Malcolm Arnold, and an arrangement of Astor Piazzolla’s Libertango by the Imani Winds hornist Jeff Scott.  The concert will also feature works for solo horn including Interstellar Call by Olivier Messiaen and The Water Garden by Brian S.
